Trent Alexander-Arnold is set for a lengthy stint out of action due to an ankle injury.
The defender will be absent from Liverpool's Carabao Cup final against Newcastle at Wembley after picking up a knock in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg loss to PSG on Tuesday at Anfield.

The Reds are yet to determine how bad the injury is, but there's a real worry he might miss a chunk of the Premier League title chase, with Slot's squad sitting pretty 15 points ahead of Arsenal with nine matches left.
Despite these concerns, Liverpool gaffer Arne Slot remains optimistic that Alexander-Arnold will make a comeback before the season wraps up, although they're gearing up for a spell without their vice-captain.
"Trent is not available," Slot confirmed in his Friday morning press conference. "He will not be there at the final but he is still to be assessed," reports the Liverpool Echo.

"We do expect him back by the end of the season."
However, if he doesn't make it back for the end of the season he could have already have played his final Liverpool game. Alexander-Arnold's contract is up in the summer and he's been heavily linked to Real Madrid.
With Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley also sidelined, it looks like Jarell Quansah – Alexander-Arnold's replacement on Tuesday – could be the top pick for right-back against Newcastle.

However, Slot has quashed any panic over Ibrahima Konate's condition after the French centre-back hobbled off during the extra time against PSG with what seemed to be cramp.
"We didn't train yesterday and had a warm down session on Wednesday, so we haven't trained yet," Slot explained. "But I expect Ibou to train today."
Alexander-Arnold was also left out of Thomas Tuchel's maiden England squad that was announced on Friday morning.
