'It was crazy': Bruno Guimaraes still in shock at what Newcastle United fans did recently

Bruno Guimaraes has issued a plea to Newcastle United fans ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

The Magpies face Liverpool, as Bruno Guimaraes prepares to lead his teammates out at Wembley.

It will be an incredible occasion, as Newcastle United fans prepare to turn Wembley black and white just like they did in 2023. However, this time they are hoping for a different result.

Newcastle have prepared differently for this final, while Bruno has called on the Toon Army to do their bit and ensure they are the 12th man during the Carabao Cup final.

Bruno Guimaraes wants another ‘special’ atmosphere from Newcastle United fans

During his Newcastle career, Bruno has experienced some special atmospheres. One of them was the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg when Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-0.

St James’ Park was incredibly loud that night, and Bruno has admitted to Sky Sports that he could barely sleep after returning home.

Now he wants more of the same on Sunday.

“I would say this game [Arsenal semi-final] and PSG [were the best atmospheres],” he said.

“When we beat PSG in the Champions League was one of the best atmospheres I’ve seen.

“But this one against Arsenal was special. One of the nights you go to sleep and you cannot sleep because the noise is still in your ears. It was crazy. It was a brilliant night.

“We hope we can have that atmosphere in Wembley as well. When the fans are like that, they become an extra player. We know that it will be half and half at Wembley, but we hope they are as noisy as possible and help us to win this title together.”

Newcastle United fans hope to create incredible Carabao Cup final atmosphere

Newcastle are united, and supporters will do their best to ensure Wembley is as loud as possible on Sunday.

Newcastle fans will be given scarves at Wembley, with club sponsors Sela set to create an incredible scene as the players enter the pitch. Just like at St James’ Park in the past, the Toon players will be met by a sea of black and white scarves.

It was all about the flags in 2023, with Newcastle supporters reducing Amanda Staveley to tears inside Wembley. There was a show of defiance in the final stages of the game, as the Toon Army waved their flags as defeat loomed.

Hopefully it will be the opposite on Sunday, with Newcastle fans waving their scarves in celebration.

For that to happen, supporters need to do their bit and be Newcastle United’s 12th man at Wembley.
