Devin Booker’s Reported Trade Price Could Hint at Phoenix Suns Rebuild

It has been a terrible season for the Phoenix Suns thus far and major changes are expected to happen in the offseason.

Of course, the Suns were expected to compete near the top of the Western Conference this season due to their superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, but that has not been the case.

Instead, the Suns currently find themselves sitting 11th in the West standings with a disappointing 30-36 record.

They do only sit two and a half games behind the injury-riddled Dallas Mavericks for the final Play-In spot in the West, but even if they reach the 10 seed, it is likely that they will be unable to make a deep playoff run with how they have played this season.

Because of their struggles, Phoenix is expected to make some major changes to their roster in the offseason. Most of the rumors have been about them trading away Durant and Beal in the offseason and building around Booker.

While that may be the case, Phoenix could also elect to trade Booker and begin a full rebuild.

According to Suns' insider Duane Rankin, the Suns could receive four first-round picks and a rising star in a potential package for Booker in the summer.

If the Suns were to trade Booker and they could in fact receive this trade package, they would set themselves up perfectly for a rebuild.

Phoenix would add up to four first-round picks and a young player in a Booker trade and if they elect to trade Durant and Beal away as well, then they would be able to add even more draft capital and more young talent to help with their rebuild.

While that might be the case, most reports suggest that the Suns will look to keep Booker on their roster and build around him to get back to their winning ways, but if he does not see the Suns being competitive in the future, he could end up forcing his way out.
