Man Utd travel to face Leicester City in the Premier League fixture on Sunday night.

Manchester United hope to have Harry Maguire and Mason Mount back to face Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend, while Kobbie Mainoo is on course to return after the March international break. United produced one of their best performances of the season to defeat Real Sociedad 4-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night and will look to keep the form going when they travel to the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening.

Ruben Amorim is set to welcome back Maguire and Mount back to the bench, while Manuel Ugarte could feature after he returned to the matchday squad in midweek. Chido Obi is eligible to feature in the match, though Patrick Dorgu will serve the last of his three-match domestic suspension.

United will need to make smart use of their squad as they look to climb the Premier League table and win the Europa League, and Amorim shared a positive injury update ahead of the weekend.

Manchester United issue Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo injury update

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to face Leicester, Amorim provided an update on Maguire, Mainoo and Mount. "With different competitions we have to rotate because we are risking a little bit some players," he said.

"For example, Casemiro was so tired, we didn't want to risk Ugarte because today was a decision in one competition and Ugarte wanted to stay here. I think we have Mason Mount, he's going to return really, really slow. Kobbie, maybe he will return in a few weeks, I don't know for sure. Harry Maguire, we'll try not to risk, we'll see for Sunday. We need all the players. Again, I think against Lyon it's going to be a different kind of game. The physicality, they have the same physicality, it's going to be a different game, more demanding in that aspect and we have a lot of difficult games in Premier League."

Mount has not featured in three months since the Manchester derby victory over Man City but is expected to play a key role in the squad once he is match fit. United will be mindful to ease him back into action and Amorim hopes he could feature from the bench against Leicester this weekend.

He added: "I already said that I really love Mason Mount. Because I see him, I know how he suffers, I know he does everything right. He eats right, his physical aspect is perfect. He's trying too much. Maybe he's thinking too much about everything. He was a European champion. He's a really talented player. And when the player does everything like he does, he will always have the support of everybody here in the club. So we will try to manage the load. And you already saw some players that had a lot of problems during one time. In some moments he can stay fit and I believe a lot on Mason Mount. And we need players like Mason Mount.

"I think he's going to the bench. We'll see. But we need every player. And if he's fit, I'm going to take him. He cannot play too many minutes, but just five minutes of Mason Mount is perfect."
