Arsenal are showing strong interest to land German winger this summer. The player can be signed as free agents and hence multiple other clubs are also showing interest. Gunners are now joined by their Premier League rivals in the race.
Gunners are set to sign a new winger along with striker to improve their attacking unit this summer. They have already linked with multiple names across whole Europe. As for winger, they have Nico Williams as top target who is said to leave Athletic club this summer.
However, signing Williams can still prove tricky for Gunners. It will require them to pay his full €58 million release clause. In addition, they are facing heavy competition from multiple clubs. Hence, the North London club are also keeping track on other available options.
One of the players linked with move to North London is Leroy Sane. The German winger will be out of his contract at Bayern Munich this summer. This will allow other clubs to sign him for free. The player is heavily looked upon by Gunners.
Mikel Arteta has already worked with Sane when both were at Man City. This will help the Spanish coach to convince the German winger. But, the North London giants are now joined by their English rivals in the race.
Liverpool join Arsenal in the race to sign Leroy Sane
According to The Boot Room via Football Fancast, the Reds have been offered a chance to sign Sane. Liverpool can opt to sign him due to his availability on free transfer and the fact that they need new wingers at the club.
As of now, both Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are linked with exit. Salah will be out of contract and there is no confirmation about extension yet. On the other hand, Diaz will enter the final year of his contract and hence the Reds can cash-in on him.
What makes Sane an ideal target for Premier League clubs is his experience on the English soil. In addition, he is still 29 which means he has some years left to offer at highest level. Lastly, as mentioned above he can be signed for free.
