Reds face Ipswich tomorrow
Read Forest Preview for all you need to know
Nottingham Forest head to Ipswich Town tomorrow afternoon (March 15, kick-off 3pm) looking to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to three matches, and four in all competitions.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side claimed three points against Manchester City last weekend after knocking the Tractor Boys out of the Emirates FA Cup the previous Monday.
Ipswich are the only side to have breached the Forest rearguard in the last three matches during the 1-1 draw at The City Ground before the Reds would ultimately win the tie 5-4 on penalties.
Saturday’s hosts meanwhile, are without a Premier League win in 2025, with their last three points coming in the final game of 2024; a 2-0 home win against Chelsea.
Keiran McKenna’s side have won two games in the FA Cup however, knocking Bristol Rovers and Coventry City out of the competition.
Earlier this season, Chris Wood’s penalty was the difference between the sides at The City Ground, while the Reds also knocked Ipswich out of the FA Cup as mentioned previously.
In 82 previous meetings between the two clubs, Forest have claimed the spoils 41 times, with 19 of those matches ending all square. Ipswich have won the remaining 22.

Man in the middle
Michael Salisbury
Michael Salibsury
Michael Salibsury has been chosen to officiate Forest’s clash with Ipswich Town at Portman Road this weekend.
The official is yet to take charge of a game involving the Reds this season, but he previously was in the middle for Ipswich’s encounter with Liverpool at Anfield in January.
When selected for VAR in 2024/25, Salisbury has overseen three Reds matches, the most recent being our goalless draw with Arsenal at the end of February.
His other matches involving Forest are our 1-1 draw with Wolves in August, and our 1-0 home win against Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day. Salisbury has been the VAR for both of Ipswich’s matches against Brighton & Hove Albion this season.
When on the pitch, the official has given out 27 yellow cards in the Premier League and two reds. He has yet to award a penalty in 2024/25.
Running the lines at Portman Road will be Simon Bennett and Akil Howson with Steve Martin selected as the fourth official. Jarred Gillet is the VAR on duty.

Forest will wear the Garibaldi red home shirts at Portman Road with red shorts and red socks.
