Harry Redknapp Predicts The Result As West Ham Face Everton

Ex-West Ham manager Harry Redknapp expects his former club to lose when they take on Everton at Goodison Park this weekend.

It will be the first time that David Moyes has faced the Hammers since leaving the London Stadium at the end of last season, but speaking to betting website BetVictor Casino, Redknapp says he can only see one winner:

“This should be an interesting one, David Moyes going up against his old side! Everton have been fantastic since he came in, they’ve picked up loads of points and are finishing the season with some real optimism.”

“I’ve got to be honest; I thought West Ham were poor on Monday against Newcastle. They just didn’t really threaten and had very little spark in their play. I don’t see many goals in this one but I think the Toffees get the win at Goodison Park.”

What score has Redknapp predicted?

The former Hammers boss has gone with a 1-0 victory to Everton, which would be a very disappointing result for Graham Potter’s side.

It would not be a surprising scoreline, though. Everton have been strong at home since Moyes’ arrival while West Ham have been struggling to find the back of the net in recent weeks.

West Ham v Everton team news

Vladimir Coufal faces a late fitness test after recovering from a thigh injury. Niclas Fullkrug could return to the bench, having made a much quicker return than expected from a hamstring problem. The German last played in Potter’s first match in charge against Aston Villa.

Crysensio Summerville remains unavailable. There had been suggestions that the Dutchman could be out for the rest of the season but Potter says a comeback after the international break remains a possibility. Michail Antonio is progressing in his recovery from a broken leg but there is no estimate on when he will return to full fitness.

Everton could have Armando Broja (ankle) back in contention, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin (thigh), Iliman Ndiaye, Dwight McNeill and Orel Mangala (all knee) have been ruled out.
