Juric on Wolves survival: 'I think after this game, they will be a little less safe'

The Black Country outfit boast a 14-point lead on bottom-placed Saints but are 17th in the league and only six points clear of Ipswich and Leicester.

Wolves visit St Mary's on Saturday, March 15, without talisman Matheus Cunha, who has scored in every game they have won this season.

Juric, who has won one of his 11 league matches at Saints, was asked if he thinks his next opponents are guaranteed safety from relegation.

He responded: "No, I don't think so. There are six points between Wolverhampton, Ipswich and Leicester and they are not still safe.

"After this match, I think they will be a little less safe than before. They have lots of good players, really high level. They did well the last couple of months.

"I know that it will be really tough, they are good in attack, fast in defence, technical in the middle. It will be a tough game, but we are preparing well."

The match could be set against the backdrop of frustration in the stands, with some rumour swirling of a potential fan-protest ahead of the game.

Saints have lost eight matches in a row at home in the Premier League and only three teams have ever lost nine or more in succession.

However, Juric is not concerned about losing the support of the fans, adding: "They are incredible. They are the best part of all of us, of the club and everything.

"They are always there, always supporting us, even in Liverpool. Before the game, after the game, I don't have doubts, because for me they are really special.

"I think if you are playing in the Premier League, there is a pressure, but I think in the other countries there is much more pressure, much more.

"There is no comparison between Italy and England if you are talking about pressure of the crowd and everything.

"Here in Southampton everybody is positive. They come to the game and they are positive, and then it depends on us to try to win."
