Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a star performance for West Ham this season, though his form has not been rewarded.
All in all, it has been a fairly dismal campaign for West Ham, though there have been plenty of positives to emerge from the London Stadium.
Since the appointment of Graham Potter, West Ham have improved in various areas of the pitch, though none as prevalent as defensively.
Wan-Bissaka has been at the heart of those defensive efforts, though it appears as though his hard work has not earned him the recognition that he deserves amid the latest announcement elsewhere.

While it will serve as a frustration for Wan-Bissaka, it will likely provide Potter some extra optimism, given the fact that he will be hoping to have a full squad to choose from for the remainder of the season.
The focus between now and then will be to ensure that the Hammers have as strong a finish to the campaign as possible and build as much momentum as possible to head into the new season.
There was plenty of work to be done at the London Stadium to get West Ham back on track to competing at the right end of the Premier League table, though for now, all that matters is the performances on the pitch.
