Manchester United defender Harry Maguire could return against Leicester City this weekend after missing out midweek.
The England international is dealing with a knock that he picked up during the FA Cup defeat to Fulham at the start of the Month.
Ruben Amorim said during the week before United’s 4-1 win against Real Sociedad in the Europa League: “Harry cannot play this one. I hope to have him for Sunday [against Leicester].”
Maguire is currently being assessed with his status currently set at 25% for the game so far. He will have Saturday to train with the team ahead of the game on Sunday.
Expected return date – Sunday 16 March vs Leicester City (A)
Mason Mount
Midfielder Mount has spent most of this season out injured, a disappointment considering that Amorim said when he joined that the midfielder fits into his system perfectly.
He has been recovering from a hamstring injury, and is now back in training, meaning that he could make his long-awaited return this weekend against Leicester.
However, Amorim could decide to be cautious with him after being out for so long, meaning a return after the international break looks more likely.
Expected return date – Tuesday 1 April vs Nottingham Forest (A)
