LeBron James Sends 9-Word Message to Steph Curry After Historic Milestone

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is one of the top players in the NBA right now, and some would even say he's one of the best players of all time.

An 11-time All-Star, a four-time NBA champion, a two-time league MVP and an NBA Finals MVP, Curry has seemingly done it all throughout his 16-year career, but he accomplished something in Thursday's 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings that had never been seen before in the NBA.

Curry, who finished with 11 points, five assists and two rebounds, hit two of his six 3-point attempts, becoming the first player ever to hit 4,000 career 3-pointers.

"I could feel the energy and the buzz from the beginning of the game after I made my first 3, even the second one I shot and missed it was an adrenaline rush, and they were with me every moment of the game tonight," Curry said after the game.

"When that second one went in I knew there was a lot of game left so I tried to not get too ahead of myself. But it was a special moment to feel that energy and allow them to enjoy that milestone and accomplishment with me."

Curry's milestone achievement was celebrated by all 18,064 people in attendance at Thursday's game, but Curry earned some congratulations from several others around the league including arguably the NBA's biggest star, Los Angeles Lakers guard LeBron James.

The 40-year-old four-time MVP, who won a gold medal alongside Curry with the USA men's Olympic basketball team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, took to social media to celebrate Curry's historic achievement with a flashy nine-word congratulations message.

"4K from Trey is CRAZY!!!!! Congrats my brother!! That's @StephenCurry30," James tweeted.

Curry passed former record holder Ray Allen (2,973) back in December 2021, and he's added more than 1,000 more 3s to his resume since then.

The only player within striking distance of possibly catching Curry, which is highly doubtful given he's just one year younger than Curry, is Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden, who has the second-most 3s all-time with 3,127 as of Thursday night.
