This season has been nothing short of a successful one already as it is for FC Barcelona. That is because, ahead of this campaign, there was some concern that the team would need some time to adjust. Instead, however, Hansi Flick has arrived and turned the tides completely at Barcelona.
The team is now thriving despite having to take on multiple competitions at the same time, and is doing a good job at managing everything. Top of the table in La Liga, as well as being well on their way in both the UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey, Barcelona have accomplished something to be proud of.
However, despite whatever the club manages to achieve in this campaign, there is always the future to look forward to. In that regard, Barcelona has reportedly been linked to certain centre-forwards who could end up taking over from Robert Lewandowski.
While the transfer rumors continue to spiral all around, there are also those within the club looking to find more opportunities. One such player is 25-year-old Spanish forward Ferran Torres, who has already shown just how efficient he can be this season.
Moreover, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the player believes in his own ability and thinks he can also be a good option to play as the centre-forward for Barcelona despite regularly playing on the wings:
“I believe in myself, and I can be the starting center-forward for FC Barcelona, why not?”
However, even when speaking about the possibility of Barcelona potentially buying another centre-forward, Torres seems to have no issues:
“If the club thinks they need to search for another one, that’s fine, but I handle competition very well.”
While the Spaniard’s current contract runs until 2027, there could be more to see when it comes to Ferran Torres. He is already showcasing that his confidence in himself is helping him perform better, and that could continue to be the case as more opportunities could pop up.
