Josh Giddey has been the Chicago Bulls' best player in recent months, and by quite some distance as well. Since Zach LaVine was traded, the guard has been picking up double-doubles and triple-doubles on a consistent basis.
Giddey's long-term future in Chicago remains uncertain but considering his recent form, the fans are hoping that the Bulls are able to agree on an extension with him.
Giddey missed the Bulls' recent game against the Brooklyn Nets due to an ankle issue. Chicago still had enough in the tank to win though as it looks like they are intent on at least making a play-in spot.
There is positive news on Giddey's situation as well as it looks like his injury is not a serious one and he might be back in action very soon.
Billy Donovan has confirmed that Giddey will travel at the start of the 6-game trip, continuing rehab on his injured ankle.

K.C. Johnson also pointed out that Giddey was walking totally fine without a limp. Barring a setback, he is planning to play at some point on the 6-game trip.

Early guess: Phoenix, altho they may not want to return him for a B2B. So perhaps Sacramento.

Of course, that is music to the ears of Bulls fans, who will want to see Giddey back in action as soon as possible.
When the Bulls traded Alex Caruso for Giddey, it was a decision that raised a lot of eyebrows. But now, it is starting to feel like the right one.
In the 9 games he has played since the All-Star break, Giddey has averaged 23.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game while shooting 52.2% from the field and 52.5% from three-point range.
