New Steelers superstars react to team’s uncertain QB situation: ‘I trust this organization

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have two new stars in DK Metcalf and Darius Slay. They landed both players without knowing who their quarterback would be, which could raise questions.

However, Metcalf and Slay both expressed that it never gave them any trepidation to join the Steelers. Slay, in particular, fully trusts the Steelers and Mike Tomlin.

“I’ve been watching this organization for a long time, and I can say I trust this organization more than anything, just from the outside looking in. Definitely with Coach, as you can see, I want to bring his resume up, but he has not had a losing season for a reason. I do trust him, and whatever he’s got going, I’m with it,” Slay said.

Metcalf is even more affected by the question. However, he was ecstatic when he knew the Steelers were interested in him as a trade candidate.

Whether it would be Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers, Metcalf has no questions about the quarterback and what will come about in Pittsburgh.

“I think, like you said, this is a historic organization. They’ve done the recruiting before I even got here. Whoever wants to come here and try to win as many games as we can, they can join us, but if not, good luck on the other side,” Metcalf said.

The Steelers are among the finalists for Rodgers, and Wilson is now taking visits with teams. This situation should be resolved sooner than later, but for now, the superstars have no issue with how the Steelers have proposed the quarterback situation.
