Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie ‘Inside Success Secret’ Revealed

If it wasn't already clear before, the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans are lucky to have an ownership group like Jeffrey Lurie.

The results speak for themselves. Before the Eagles arrived, the organization struggled to even reach the playoffs and would be quick outs the minute they got in over their history. They reached just one Super Bowl, won three division titles, and reached the playoffs eight times.

Since Lurie has taken over in 1994, the Eagles reached the playoffs 19 times, reached the Super Bowl three times, and have won two titles.

There's a reason why Lurie has been so successful in Philadelphia. He has a thought process and demand of how he wants his team to look, and that look has been tried and tested throughout history.

As former league executive Michael Lombardi said on the Pat McAfee show, the Eagles know what they want in their roster.

Is there an inside secret to Lurie's football-related success?

"I worked for Jeffrey Lurie for a short time," Lombardi said. "He has always been all about offensive and defensive linemen.. Everybody wants to draft a Wide Receiver but none of that matters if you can't block."

That system has always worked in the NFL. Philadelphia has built an offensive and defensive line over the years that has been one of the best in the league to this point and appears on the cusp to continuing to do so moving forward.

So long as Lurie is running the team, the Eagles are expected to be in contention for Super Bowls every year. And it's why the team continues to dominate in the trenches more than any other organization.
