LeBron James’ Stephen Curry Statement After Remarkable NBA Feat

Long gone are any debates about whether Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. The prominent question nowadays is about how large the gap between him and second place is. Curry accomplished another tremendous shooting feat on Thursday night that had even LeBron James in awe.

Despite a relatively modest night for the Golden State Warriors superstar, his team trounced the Sacramento Kings. They won a commanding 130-104 ball game on Thursday night at the Chase Center.

Curry only totaled 11 points and five assists in the Warriors' victory. However, the story was about how the four-time NBA champion got to those 11 points.

Curry knocked down two 3-pointers in the win against the Kings. That was enough to help him accomplish a legendary feat. Curry became the first player in NBA history to knock down 4000 career 3-point baskets.

The impressive part of looking at this accolade is that not only is the Warriors point guard first, but the margin between him and the next player is astronomical. James Harden occupies the second spot on the list with 3127 made triples. That is a difference of 873 baskets from beyond the arc.

Curry's longtime rival turned friend, LeBron James, had to chime in with his admiration of the achievement. James took to Twitter/X to congratulate the Warriors legend on making history yet again.

The attention for many has now shifted to whether Curry can cross the 5000 mark for his career. The answer to that question is certainly up for debate.

It really comes down to the kind of longevity and sustained production one would expect the two-time NBA MVP to have for the remainder of his playing days.

Curry has averaged 313 3-pointers over the previous four seasons. If one were to give him the benefit of the doubt with regard to how the production looks from the Warriors superstar over the next few seasons, that would put him on track to break 5000 within 3-4 seasons. The question is if Curry plays that long and that well to hit the mark.
