The Blues have won just three Premier League games all season, the last of which was in 2024, and head into the final 10 games of the season effectively seven points from safety due to goal difference.
The team they are trying to catch, Wolves, are at rock-bottom Southampton tomorrow afternoon, while Ipswich host third-place Nottingham Forest.
Asked if there is anything he'd have done differently this season, McKenna replied: "I don't think it's the right time for reflection on the season because we're still very much in it. We're still in a position where we're competitive and we're fighting to achieve some pretty incredible goals. So that's where our whole focus is.
"When the end of the season comes, hopefully we're having a big party and a big celebration. Maybe we're not, but whichever way it goes, for sure there'll be things that we can look back on and we'll have learned an awful lot from as a football club.
"There'll certainly be things that we look back on and think that we got right and there'll certainly be things that we look back on that we think maybe we could have done that a little bit differently.
"Whatever the end of the season brings, we're certainly going to be in a position where I think we'll be stronger as a football club and we'll have learned an awful lot that will help us in the future."

Tomorrow will be the third time that Town have faced Nottingham Forest this season. The Blues lost 1-0 in a league game at The City Ground last November, then drew a recent FA Cup fifth round tie there 1-1 before losing a penalty shootout.
"We've had two pretty similar games against them away from home," said McKenna. "They came out on top with a penalty decision in the league game and the FA Cup game went for 120 minutes. There's positives to take from the fact that we've competed with them in those games and we now want to really try and take the next step in this one."
On Forest, who beat Man City 1-0 last weekend, being surprise Champions League contenders, McKenna said: "I don't imagine that they would have guessed that they would have been third in the league at this stage of the season. There's no doubt they've done fantastically well. They found a formula that works really, really well for them and have picked up fantastic results across the season.
"I think everyone has taken great joy in seeing Chris Woods, a great professional who's worked so hard in his career, showing what you can do into your 30s in the Premier League after honing his craft over the years. Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Morgan Gibbs-White, Ola Aina, Elliot Anderson - they're all players who I saw come through academy systems through the years and they're top, top, top talents. They've made some great signings from abroad too, the likes of Murillo and (Nikola) Milenkovic. Full credit to them. They've got a really good squad together and they're doing very well. We know the strength of the opponent we're facing."
On how he will approach the game, he said: "They're really, really hard to create chances against. But you also know that if you open up the game too much and you go and chase the goal in too aggressive of a manner, then they can be incredibly efficient on the counter-attack with their pace. Finding that balance is the challenge."
Asked if he'll be keeping track of how Wolves are getting at Southampton, McKenna replied: "No, it's just about us. If you're level on points with a team and there's one or two games left, of course, you'd have interest.
"But, at this point, we know it's about us needing to win games at a greater rate than we have up until this point to give ourselves a chance. That's going to be really tough, but we believe we're capable of doing it.
"If we don't manage to do that, then it doesn't matter what anyone else does. If we do manage to do that over the next 10 games, then we'll give ourselves a chance.
"We know there's a gap (to safety) and that the games are coming down, so it's really important that we pick up points in the next few games. We know that."
