While New York Giants fans endure sleepless nights over their quarterback situation, one of their former QBs had one recently but for no such reason.
Kurt Warner, the Giants' QB in 2004, said his dream was all about a lack of preparation before he went into a game, tweeting Friday:
Woke up in a panic a few times last night as I continued to have a dream where I was going out on the football field UNPREPARED!!! It was one thing I could always control & nothing gave me more confidence! I was not the biggest or fastest or anywhere close to the most athletic, so I knew I had to be the best prepared! It’s important to learn how YOU must prepare to be the BEST version of yourself, it’s not always the same for everyone! Figure out your strengths & weaknesses & cater your preparation around that!
Preparation + Talent is a pretty unstoppable force!
That’s called wisdom from the Hall of Fame quarterback who was a Super Bowl winner/MVP with the then-St. Louis Rams.
In 2004, Warner went 5-4 with the Giants, completing 62.8% of his passes for 2,054 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions.

Eli Manning, then a rookie, took over the starting job in Week 10, going 1-7 to start what became a legendary Giants career with two Super Bowls and two Super Bowl MVPs in 16 seasons.
The Giants hope that someone they draft at No. 3 overall — the favorite is a QB: Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders? — becomes their next Manning as a holdover veteran (Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers?) like Warner keeps them competitive.
