30-cap international will surely be the first player Potter sells when the summer window opens

Graham Potter should be looking to move numerous players on from West Ham United in the summer.

It has been claimed that Graham Potter could let at least six West Ham players go during the off-season.

West Ham appointed Graham Potter on January 9th, after Julen Lopetegui oversaw a disastrous run of results during his time in charge at the London Stadium.

Potter has made a big impact already at West Ham, and the Hammers hierarchy are said to be very impressed by the impression the 49-year-old has made at the club.

The next stage of Potter’s evolution at the Hammers should be really exciting.

He will undoubtedly make some big changes in the summer, and when he gets the players he wants to fit his system, the future should start to look very bright.

However, moving on the deadwood will be crucial for him as well.

Guido Rodriguez will be first West Ham player Graham Potter sells

West Ham midfielder Guido Rodriguez has endured a torrid time at the London Stadium this season.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES

The 30-capped Argentina international joined the Hammers on a free transfer eight months ago, after his contract with Real Betis expired.

He arrived at the London Stadium with a really big reputation of being one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe.

However, he really hasn’t lived up to what was expected of him whatsoever.

Guido Rodriguez could leave West Ham this summer, and the Hammers are said to be demanding as much as £12 million for him.

Getting anything like that for the Argentinian would be an absolute miracle. However, the main thing will be getting him out of the club, whatever the fee.

Good riddance Guido

The 30-year-old is painfully ill-suited to the intense speed of Premier League football.

When he plays, he’s a huge weak-link for the Hammers, due to his lack of pace and physicality.

Guido Rodriguez was a terrible signing for West Ham from the very first moment we brought him to the club.

Hopefully the Hammers owners learn from the Rodriguez deal.

Just because someone is a hit in La Liga, and is available on a free transfer, it doesn’t mean West Ham should sign him.

I’m looking forward to seeing Potter go down a completely different route when it comes to player recruitment.
