ODEBOLT, Iowa — A little more than a month after winning a Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback and Northwest Iowa native Cooper DeJean was in his hometown on Thursday to throw a Bud Light-backed event for friends, family and residents.
DeJean, who was a star athlete at OABCIG and the University of Iowa, took photos and video in front of the Odebolt sign and in front of a Bud Light truck whose product was unloaded for people to enjoy.

In the Super Bowl, which occurred on DeJean's birthday, the rookie defensive player returned an interception for a touchdown off of three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes. That was just the second time a rookie recorded a pick six during pro football's biggest game.
A press release from a PR group for Bud Light summarized the Odebolt occasion by saying "Fresh off a Super Bowl victory, Odebolt, Iowa native and Philadelphia Eagles star Cooper DeJean celebrated with the friends and family who have supported him from day one by bringing Bud Light and the Eagles’ Super Bowl celebration to his hometown of less than 1,000 people."

During the Eagles' parade celebration last month, DeJean joked that he got a "battle scar" above his left eye after wearing a "big a**" Bud Light chain.
DeJean was chosen in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
