On Thursday evening, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors broke yet another NBA record.
He became the first player in league history to score 4,000 three-pointers and he isn’t slowing down yet.
On Friday, Brian Scalabrine spoke to SiriusXM NBA Radio about Curry’s accomplishments and made a big prediction.
“I think he’ll actually go for 5,000, and that will be the magical number that will never be touched,” Scalabrine said.

It wasn’t that long ago when Curry became the all-time three-pointer leader in league history.
Now, just a few years later, he has surpassed a total that seems insurmountable to many.
Of course, all records are meant to be broken so there is a chance that someone will eventually get over 4,000 threes.
But 5,000 is such a large number that it may not be seen again for several generations.
Even as Curry gets older and retirement inches closer, his three-point shooting remains solid.
This year, he is sinking 39.8 percent of his threes, landing an average of 4.4 per game on 11.2 attempts.
When Curry entered the league, no one had scored 3,000 three-pointers and now that looks like a small number for the 11-time All-Star.
5,000 isn’t too far-fetched and he could go well beyond that too.
Curry is now 37 years old, which means retirement is only a few years away.
So, how far can he go as his NBA career travels further into its final chapter?
If Curry can stay healthy and his Warriors remain competitive, there is every reason to believe he will hit 5,000 and beyond within the next several seasons.
