Jaxson Dart Predicted to Join NFC Team in Top 10 of NFL Draft

One of the biggest questions heading into the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft is which pick Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart will be taken with.

He's currently listed as the No. 6 quarterback and the No. 126 player available on Pro Football Focus' big board, yet he has the fifth-best odds (+7000) of being the No. 1 pick, per ESPN BET.

In a mock draft done by Marco Enriquez of Pro Football & Sports Network, he predicts Dart won't even make it out of the top 10, going to the New Orleans Saints at No. 9, setting him up to learn under newly-hired head coach Kellen Moore.

"Some may question Dart's aggressive, big-play mentality, but with strong coaching, he has all the traits to be a franchise cornerstone," Enriquez wrote. "Dart is a dual-threat QB with mobility and the ability to extend plays. His arm strength is promising, but improving his accuracy and decision-making under pressure will be a priority. Pairing him with Moore and Chris Olave could set the stage for a Saints resurgence."

After helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX as an offensive coordinator, Moore is looking to improve the Saints' offense, which in 2024 was tied for 24th in points per game (19.9) and 21st in total yards per game (320.1).

Dart, who last season completed 276-of-398 passes for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 180.7 passing efficiency rating, proved he can put up solid numbers.

This scenario would also give him time to learn the team's offense and playing speed of the NFL as the Saints still have quarterback Derek Carr under contract until the end of the 2026 season.
