Chelsea are willing to make a multi-million-dollar offer to convince Carlo Ancelotti to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea are interested in appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their next manager. If the Italian tactician ends up parting ways with Real Madrid at the end of the season, the Blues are ready to make a massive financial offer to lure him to the club.
Ancelotti’s future at Madrid is uncertain
Ancelotti is currently enjoying his second stint at the Spanish club. He took charge back in 2021 and has guided them to two Champions League and two La Liga titles in the last four years. While he has been highly successful, there are still a lot of question marks over his future at the club.
They are in contention for the league as well as the UCL title, but the club’s leadership isn’t entirely pleased with his work. Florentino Perez has made it quite clear to the Italian manager that he will only continue at the club if he manages to deliver one of those titles.
Chelsea want Ancelotti as their next boss
Since there is a lot of uncertainty, Chelsea have started working in the background to appoint him as their next boss. While Enzo Maresca had an impressive start to life at the London club and they are in contention for a top-four spot, the Blues have their doubts about his ability to lead the project in the long run.
As a result, they have started exploring their options and would love to bring Ancelotti back to the club. The five-time Champions League-winning coach had a successful stint at Stamford Bridge back in the day, and they are pushing hard to have him in charge once again.
However, they do have a massive obstacle in their way as Ancelotti has hinted that he could retire after his second spell at Madrid. But, Chelsea are still confident that an ambitious sporting project and a massive financial package could change the 65-year-old’s mind.
