Three Palestinians were injured Friday as a result of Israeli occupation forces' shelling of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, quoted local sources in Gaza as saying that two Palestinians were injured in Israeli tank shelling in the centre of Rafah city, while a woman was injured by artillery shells falling in the al Janina neighbourhood, east of the city.

A Palestinian child was killed on Thursday evening after being shot by an Israeli drone in the Shuja'iyya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City.

According to Palestinian News Agency ( WAFA), an Israeli drone fired directly at civilians, killing the three-year-old child in the Al-Mintar area of the Shuja'iyya neighbourhood.

It added that a woman was injured by Israeli occupation forces' bullets after being shot by a drone in the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east of the town of Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The ministry of health in Gaza announced last Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, has risen to 48,524 martyrs, and 111,955 wounded.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel on January 19, the Israeli occupation continues to target the Gaza Strip with sporadic strikes and operations, resulting in deaths and injuries.
