It turns out Cooper Kupp isn’t going very far, so certainly not to the New England Patriots.
The veteran wideout will stay in the NFC West after his release for the Los Angeles Rams. Kupp reportedly agreed to a [three-year deal](https://x.com/NFL/status/1900676295270527399) for $45 million, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Tom Pellisero and Mike Garafolo.
Kupp returns to the state he played his college ball in at Eastern Washington. He’ll catch passes from a rejuvenated quarterback in Sam Darnold, who signed a three-year deal with Seattle after a standout season for the Minnesota Vikings.
The Patriots [reportedly did not enter the average annual value range](https://nesn.com/2025/03/patriots-fans-will-hate-new-report-about-teams-cooper-kupp-plan/) for Kupp throughout his market in free agency. The team did add Mack Hollins on a two-year deal, but New England still needs at least one impact weapon this offseason to support Drake Maye.
With Kupp off the board, that now appears to be a priority to attack in the draft for the Patriots.
