Detroit Lions fans came into the 2025 NFL offseason with high hopes.
The franchise had a lot of cap space and a roster that has had them in Super Bowl contention for the past two seasons.
General manager Brad Holmes got fans' hope up even higher when he opened free agency by landing cornerback D.J. Reed.
Things have been quiet since then and it has some fans concerned.
Holmes' most recent first-round pick thinks that those fans need to have some patience and let things play out.
On March 14, Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold posted a picture to Twitter with the caption, "Words of advice: Let Brad Cook!"

Holmes has definitely earned some patience from Lions fans. During his time as the team's general manager, he has completely transformed the franchise.
He hired Dan Campbell in a move that was met with some doubt at the time.
In four draft classes, Holmes has added Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, Aidan Hutchinson, Kerby Joseph, Jameson Williams, Brian Branch, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam Laporta, Arnold, and plenty of other talent.
Long story short, Holmes has gotten enough right in the last few years that Lions fans should trust whatever his plan is.
However, there is some added pressure to get things right this offseason.
The team is a real Super Bowl threat for the 2025 season. That isn't something that has been true for the Lions very often.
It's an opportunity they need to capitalize on, even if that means making some sacrifices for the future.
For now, fans will just have to have faith that Holmes has something up his sleeve to put the Lions over the top and capitalize on the talent he has amassed on this roster.
He's earned that and there is still a lot of talent out there and plenty of time to make moves.
