Ter Stegen ‘three weeks away’ from returning to full training with Barca

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is reportedly just three weeks away from returning to full training with Barcelona.

The Germany international has missed most of the season after suffering a serious knee injury and [undergoing surgery all the way back in September 2024](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/9/23/24252220/barcelona-offer-update-after-marc-andre-ter-stegen-undergoes-knee-surgery).

Ter Stegen has been back in training at [Barcelona and even working with the ball](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/2/17/24366633/marc-andre-ter-stegen-posts-positive-update-as-barcelona-stopper-inches-closer-to-comeback) but is not too far away now from linking up with his team-mates once again.

According to Diario Sport, Ter Stegen is just three weeks away from being part of the group and could be back in full training by early to mid April.

Ter Stegen is then hopeful he could even be available for Barcelona’s fixtures in May. Barca are due to play Real Valladolid, Real Madrid, Espanyol, Villarreal and Athletic Club - and even potentially the rescheduled game with Osasuna.

Hansi Flick will also be hoping there’s a Champions League final to think about, although that may well cause a headache for the boss as he’ll have to choose between Ter Stegen or Wojciech Szczęsny.
