Cooper Kupp lands monster deal with Rams rivals, the Seattle Seahawks

For the Los Angeles Rams, the long and tortuous saga is over. The release of wide receiver Cooper Kupp was as inevitable as the snap of Thanos' fingers while wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. But what happens next was always shrouded in mystery. Until now, that is. The wait over Kupp's decision as to his next team was never going to be long and drawn out. When it came down to making his decision, he assured everyone that it would happen quickly.

I suppose that when facing a life-altering decision to uproot his family and relocate to a new state to resume the next chapter of his NFL career, 48 hours is very quick indeed. But for those of us who were clinging to cell phones and computer screens for any mention of a decision, it's a very long time. Sleep, as it turns out, it pretty important.

Well, sleep is back on the menu. Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams NFC West Division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, on a three-year deal worth up to $45 million. Not only is it painful for Rams fans to face Kupp twice a year, but the fact that the team released him negates any possibility of an award of a compensatory pick.

The Seattle Seahawks signed one of the NFL's best wide receivers available, and Rams fans have memories:

It's one of the worst-case scenarios that could have come to pass.
