Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s Hyped One-Word Reaction to Cooper Kupp’s Seahawks Decision

Former NFL Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Cooper Kupp will remain in the NFC West -- just not with the Los Angeles Rams.

The veteran wide receiver finally decided on his NFL free agency landing spot, as he's taking his talents to the Seattle Seahawks after spending his first eight seasons in the pros with the Los Angeles Rams. The Seahawks' move on Kupp comes on the heels of their addition of quarterback Sam Darnold, now the clear QB1 for Seattle in the 2025 campaign.

Kupp's arrival in Seattle has the football world buzzing. Among the many who are thrilled by this development is Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

"Coooooooop," the former Ohio State Buckeyes star wrote in an Instagram Story post that shows an ESPN graphic of him alongside Kupp and Darnold.

Kupp will have some adjustments to make as he starts to familiarize himself with a new football environment, but so does the 23-year-old Smith-Njigba, who's now in a much different wide receiver room after seeing DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett part ways with Seattle in the offseason.

That's not to mention the departure of quarterback Geno Smith, whose spot has been inherited by Sam Darnold.

The 31-year-old Kupp goes to Seattle on a three-year, $45 million contract. Injuries have slowed him down in the past few seasons, but when healthy, he can still be a difference-maker downfield for a Seahawks team that finished eighth in 2024 with an average of 236.5 passing yards per game.

In his final season with the Rams, Kupp had 710 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 67 receptions and 100 targets.
