SALT LAKE CITY – With a 126-118 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Delta Center on Friday, the Utah Jazz have lost eight in a row for the second time this season.
Jordan Clarkson led the Jazz with 19 points off the bench. Kyle Filipowski had 18 and both Lauri Markkanen and Isaiah Collier scored 16. Immanuel Quickley and Scottie Barnes took charge for Toronto with 20 each.
The Jazz endured their longest winless stretch of the season in the second half of January, going eight games and 19 days without a victory. Now, to start March, Utah has lost eight in a row again over 15 days.
The Jazz will take a quick trip to Minnesota on Sunday before returning home for six straight.

We’re seeing a very aggressive Lauri Markkanen who has nine early on points on 3-6 shooting in the first 5 minutes of the game.

There’s an argument that John Collins and Walker Kessler have been the Jazz’s best players this year, so not having either of them on the floor is a weighty loss, even with Markkanen back in the lineup.

I’ve enjoyed watching Lauri try to create this many shots for himself.
It hasn’t been all that fruitful, but I thought we’d see more of this throughout the season.

Third Quarter
No Lauri Markkanen in the starting lineup to begin the second half.
That might explain his first-half aggression.
