Deco has already identified three Barcelona players to be sold next summer – Report

Having made only 2 additions to their squad in the last summer transfer window and none in the winter window, FC Barcelona would be looking to bring some more reinforcements for Hansi Flick in the next summer transfer window.

The Blaugranes have already identified some areas for strengthening, but it is also clear that they will have to generate some funds and make space in their salary bill to be able to land their desired targets from the market.

For this purpose, the Catalans will have to sell some of their current players, and Fichajes reports that the Barcelona Sporting Director, Deco, has already identified three players who will be sold in the summer.

One of these players is the defender Andreas Christensen. Even though there is no doubt about his ability as a centre-back, his fitness is still a significant concern, especially this season, as he has not been able to play a single minute since the very first game of the season against Valencia.

Furthermore, with players like Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo, and Eric Garcia all vying for minutes in the two centre-back positions, he is unlikely to get a starting spot any time soon, and the best way forward for him remains a departure from the Catalan club.

But he would not be the only centre-back to leave, as Eric Garcia is also marked for a departure by Deco. He has struggled to secure a starting spot under Hansi Flick at Barcelona due to strong competition in defense.

Meanwhile, Girona, where he spent last season on loan, along with other clubs across Europe, remain interested in signing him this summer.

Lastly, Ansu Fati is another clear candidate for a departure, as he has once again struggled with fitness and lack of confidence this season, and has not even been named in the squad lists for quite some time now.

It is clear that Flick is not counting on him, and a sale looks highly likely next summer despite his wishes to remain.

These three sales will end up making a lot of room in the Barcelona wage bill, and will hopefully provide some funds that the Blaugranes can use to get their desired targets from the market.
