The second leg of their Conference League match against Copenhagen ended in a 1-0 win for the Blues; however, it wasn’t the smoothest game. Chelsea advances to the quarterfinals and will face Polish side, Legia Warsaw in the second week of April.
Enzo told [TNT Sport](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bYz10qBs0k) that the squad struggled in the first half, but with the changes made has seen significant improvement.
“This club always won trophies in the past and we need to try to do our best to achieve the target this season… the reason we are working everyday to give them (fans) and to the club some important title”
Delving deeper into the differences between the two legs, [Ben Jacobs](https://x.com/jacobsben) reports via X that Maresca claimed he deliberately planned to analyze the opponent in the first half on both occasions and make adjustments in the second half.
Believing the strategy had worked in the first leg, he opted to follow the same approach for the second.
Maresca also mentioned that he replaced Josh Acheampong to adjust the structure of having six players in attack. He also acknowledged that Acheampong’s performance marked the first time he was doing a “different kind of job” and praised him for being “very good.”
He also recognized the star of the second leg, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, highlighting how it is “hard” to work every day without getting enough game time. Maresca expressed his hope that Dewsbury-Hall will get more opportunities in both the UECL and the Premier League.
### Looking forward to a London derby
When asked whether the game against Arsenal would be easier due to familiarity compared to Conference League opponents, Maresca told TNT Sport: “It’s a derby, it’s the Premier League, it’s Arsenal…”
Chelsea will need to stay focused, avoiding any underestimation or complacency ahead of the weekend.
He also mentioned that he is looking forward to the return of Noni and Nico after the international break, which begins following the clash against Arsenal.
