With the addition of Joe Tryon-Shoyinka in free agency and a potential draft pick of Abdul Carter at number two in the draft, the days of Alex Wright in Cleveland could be coming to an end later this offseason.

The Cleveland Browns have already starting adding to their defensive line already this offseason, they signed Joe Tryon-Shoyinka as a rotational edge and then Maliek Collins as a starting defensive tackle. It is always better to be in a position that you have a surplus of talent and having to make tough calls rather than discussing which day three picks in the draft might be able to start for the Cleveland Browns.
The premise of this article is based on them adding Abdul Carter in the NFL draft, if they don't do this then there is a very real scenario that he remains with the team but if they do add Carter then I would put the odds on Alex Wright being on the 53 man roster come week one of the season at less than 50% without an injury helping him over the line. Okoronkwo already has one foot out the door, Wright could be following him at a later time.
At the start of the month I wrote about the NFL's Proven Performance Escalator incentive, this has increased Alex Wright salary from $1,426,851 to $3,406,000. If this wouldn't have happened then he would be okay as the teams fifth edge but with no guarantees he is in a precarious position when it comes to making the final Cleveland Browns roster come week one.

OBR Insider Lane Adkins contributed to this report...
This is perhaps the slowest moving free agency period the NFL has ever experienced. Not just for the Cleveland Browns, but the league as a whole. There weren't as many premium free agents available, so there was less of a scramble, but both players and teams have been taking their time. Still, even though it feels like this has been going on forever, free agency has only just started.
Meanwhile, ESPN's Adam Schefter is pretty sure Cam Ward is going to be the first pick of the draft. He's also narrowed it down to three teams that might select him, one of which is the Browns.
If that doesn't satiate your appetite for insight regarding the Browns, here's the latest the OBR has learned.
