The US President Donald Trump is likely to issue a strict travel restriction for the citizens of 41 countries as part of a new ban, Reuters confirmed.

A total of 41 countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, North Korea, and Iran, among others, will face the repercussions of the new regulation.

According to Reuters, a US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, cautioned that the list is subject to changes and has yet to be approved by the administration, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Here's The Full List Of The Countries

The draft of the 41 countries list, which has been seen by Reuters, is categorised into three groups.

First Category

The first group of 10 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba and North Korea among others, would be set for a full visa suspension.

Second Category

In the second group, five countries – Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar and South Sudan – will face partial suspension, affecting tourist and student visas as well as other immigrant visas with some exceptions.

Third Category

The third group includes a total of 26 countries, including Belarus, Pakistan and Turkmenistan, and if their governments "do not take efforts to address the deficiencies within 60 days, a partial ban on the issuance of U.S. visas to them will be considered," the draft said.

Trump's Travel Ban Sparks Concerns

The move is reminiscent of President Donald Trump's ban on travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries during his first term, a policy that was repeated several times before being upheld by the Supreme Court in 2018.

Trump issued an executive order on January 20 requiring intensive security screening of any foreigner seeking to enter the US to detect national security threats.

That order directed several Cabinet members to submit a list of countries by March 21 from which travel should be partially or fully suspended because their "testing and screening data is inadequate."
