West Ham head to Everton this afternoon aiming to get one over former manager David Moyes.
Graham Potter’s side suffered a setback on Monday night after a narrow home defeat to Newcastle. It’s been a mixed start for Potter, who is still getting to grips with the squad he inherited. West Ham have won three of their eight Premier League games under Potter, including consecutive wins before that loss to Newcastle.
Today, West Ham face an Everton side above them in the table on goal difference. A win for the Hammers will lift them from 16th to 13th in the table, ahead of Sunday’s fixtures.

Everton have improved immeasurably since Moyes’s return to the club. The Toffees are currently unbeaten in eight Premier League games, their longest run in eight years. However, each of the club’s last three games have ended in draws. Everton have lost three of their last four meetings with West Ham at Goodison Park.
