West Ham are said to be interested in a striker who has won two European titles so far.

West Ham are said to be in with a good chance of landing one of their reported Danny Ings replacements. The Hammers are likely to reshape their squad this summer with Graham Potter wanting to put his stamp on his squad having taken over one heavily influenced by predecessor Julen Lopetegui.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing under Potter so far, but the season was already a write-off before he arrived, and the Englishman knew the rest of this season was going to be used as time to properly prepare for the next campaign.

In some ways, though, that is a gift for Potter, with few managers afforded time to get their feet under the table and to work out what they need over the course of months rather than weeks. Come the summer, Potter should know exactly what he wants and needs to enjoy a much more successful campaign of next, while also knowing which players he wants to move on.

One player who is likely to move on is veteran striker Danny Ings, who is out of contract ahead of next season, and that should force West Ham into the market for a striker, especially with Niclas Fullkrug’s injury history and the potential complexity of Michail Antonio’s return.

A number of players have been linked with a move to the London Stadium, but according to Football Insider, Tammy Abraham is one of the more likely options. It’s claimed West Ham are interested in a deal this summer, and Abraham is said to like the idea of working under Potter from next season, wanting a deal.

The 27-year-old frontman is currently on loan with AC Milan from AS Roma, where he has two years remaining on his deal. Abraham has scored eight goals and assisted four in 36 games across all competitions this season, but he is not likely to have a future with Roma.

Roma paid just under £34million to sign Abraham from Chelsea, and it’s reported that want £25.3million to sell him this season, with reports Milan are not willing to match that asking price. West Ham could take full advantage to sign a striker with plenty of Premier League experience and just entering his prime years. Abraham won the Champions League and Super Cup during his time with Chelsea, while he won the Conference League with Roma.
