Buffalo Bills sign athletic former Pittsburgh Steelers OL

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Kendrick Green is heading to a new team. Green is going to the Buffalo Bills after spending the last two seasons with the Houston Texans.

He played as a center for the Steelers but is likely to be a guard for the rest of his career, where he is more comfortable. Green expressed that while in Pittsburgh, he was uncomfortable at center, contributing to his early struggles in the NFL.

With the Texans, he was a depth piece that only stepped in when necessary. A torn meniscus cost him much of his first season with the club.

The Steelers’ 2021 third-round pick out of Illinois, Houston, moved him back to left guard in hopes of getting more out of him than the Steelers were able to in his first two seasons. Pittsburgh traded Green in August of 2023, pulling the plug on what they believed was a failed draft pick after a disappointing first two seasons.
