Everton look to go an eighth match unbeaten when they play host to West Ham this weekend, who are seeking a third win in four games.
The Toffees kept up their recent run with a 1-1 draw away at Wolves to take themselves a staggering 16 points from danger - a more than probable guarantee of Premier League safety thanks to David Moyes’ return.
West Ham have been indifferent meanwhile, with a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle last Monday, capping a record of just two wins from their last seven games.
The Hammers form was largely the same when the sides met earlier in the season, when an inspired Jordan Pickford performance ensured Everton claimed a point and clean sheet.
Preventing the opposition from scoring has been a problem for the Blues in recent times, having failed to shut out any of their opponents since their 4-0 demolition of Leicester on February 1st - a run of five games.
Previous fixtures between both sides present an opportunity for that to change however, with each of Everton’s last seven league wins against West Ham resulting in a clean sheet.
Going back through time, the two teams have similar success against each other, with West Ham winning five of the last ten match-ups, narrowly beating Everton’s four.
Turning to the present, Saturday’s game proves to be an intriguing encounter given that Everton can move above the East Londoners with a win, proving an equal incentive for ex-Hammers boss Moyes.
Team news
Everton
The Toffees have received a boost with Armando Broja in line to return for Saturday's game, having been out with an ankle injury since the beginning of January.
While the Albanian international featured in training this week, Iliman Ndiaye (knee), Orel Mangala (knee), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring) and Dwight McNeil (knee) still remain unavailable for selection.
West Ham
West Ham meanwhile are expecting both Lucas Paqueta and Vladimir Coufal to be in contention for the trip to Goodison.
Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio will be unavailable however, while Niclas Fullkrug is also touch and go despite recovering from a hamstring problem.
Predicted line-ups
Everton
Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski (c), Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Lindrstrom, Alcaraz, Gueye, Harrison; Doucoure; Beto
West Ham
Areola; Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell; Wan-Bissaka, Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Emerson; Bowen, Ferguson, Kudus
Players to watch
Everton - Jack Harrison
In light of injuries in forward areas, Jack Harrison has stepped up his game from bench player to become a real threat of Moyes' makeshift attack.
The 28-year-old matched his workrate and performances in recent weeks with a deflected strike through his strong left-foot, which opened the scoring at Wolves before Everton were pegged back.
That was his first goal of the season, but goals fail to fully explain what Harrison is about - an ability to threaten in behind and produce a killer delivery, especially from crosses.
West Ham - Jarrod Bowen
Consistency is usually key, a term that can be associated with Jarrod Bowen, who has become the Hammers go-to man for scoring goals and supplying them.
The Englishman recently reached the landmark of 50 Premier League goals while being a danger away from home, having scored in each of his last two outings.
Bowen's ability to penetrate defences and cut inside on his left to create or score is the main threat, but stopping him will take plenty of concentration.
