Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old USMNT international Yunus Musah from Serie A club AC Milan.
According to a report by Italian outlet Milan Live, Yunus Musah has garnered a market in the Premier League heading into the summer transfer window. Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United are keen on signing the AC Milan midfielder, with the Serie A giants demanding around €30 million to part ways with the USMNT international.
Yunus Musah and his career so far
Yunus Musah has established himself as one of the most dependable performers at AC Milan since arriving from Valencia in August 2023. A native of New York, the American midfielder spent his formative years in Italy and England, graduating from the youth division at Arsenal. However, he rose in prominence during his spell with Valencia.
The 22-year-old has come leaps and bounds during his spell with AC Milan, even though he has not been an undisputed first-choice starter for the Serie A club in the last 18 months. Musah has turned out 74 times thus far for the Rossoneri while chipping in with four assists. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has not gone unnoticed, alerting several Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United.
A man in demand
Aston Villa will likely dip into the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window despite having a stacked midfield unit. So, several candidates, including Douglas Luiz, have emerged on the West Midlands club’s radar. However, the USMNT international is also an option worth considering due to his versatility.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United’s interest in Yunus Musah is understandable. The Magpies are in a spot of bother over Sean Longstaff’s long-term future, while Bruno Guimaraes is a target for several European bigwigs. So, the AC Milan midfielder has emerged as a viable target for Newcastle United.
As for West Ham United, Guido Rodriguez will likely depart from the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, while it is unclear if Carlos Soler will complete a permanent move to the London Stadium. So, Musah is a viable option to bolster the West Ham midfield.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old American midfielder will not cost a bomb, with AC Milan demanding around €30 million to part ways with him. Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and West Ham United should have the funds to afford a move worth €30 million to sign the USMNT international from the Serie A club.
