It has been a great season thus far for the Detroit Pistons as their extensive rebuild is finally over.
Of course, the Pistons finished the last two seasons with the worst record in the NBA, but that has completely changed this season.
Detroit currently finds themselves sitting sixth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 37-30 record and they trail the Milwaukee Bucks by just a single game for the fourth seed in the East.
Cade Cunningham has led the way for the Pistons this season as he is on track to possibly win the Most Improved Player award and also make an All-NBA team.
While Cunningham has been great, the rest of the Pistons' core has also played well. Jalen Duren has turned into one of the best young big men in the league and their offseason additions of Malik Beasley and Tobias Harris have worked out well.
Although the Pistons have improved a ton this season, they may still be a star player away from competing with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics at the top of the East, but that could change in the offseason if they were able to land a star guard from the Phoenix Suns.
According to Bovada, the Pistons are the favorite (+800) to land Devin Booker from the Suns via trade in the offseason. Detroit is followed by the New York Knicks (+900) and Oklahoma City Thunder (+900).

Booker would be a great fit in Detroit and he and Cunningham would create one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA.
Of course, for the Pistons to add Booker they would likely have to move on from Harris due to salary reasons and they may have to give up Jaden Ivey in a potential deal with the Suns, along with multiple first-round picks.
Despite this, Booker could help make the Pistons into a title contender next season if they were to make a deal for him.
