Schoolboy Brando Bailey-Joseph scored twice and provided an assist as Arsenal U18s survived a late scare to win 4-3 at home to Leicester City today.
Brighton midfielder Ronnie Gorman featured for Arsenal as a trialist.
Max Dowman, who trained with the first-team yesterday, wasn’t involved, while Louie Copley was also unavailable and Louis Zecevic John was missing due to international duty.
Jack Porter replaced Khari Ranson in goal and there were also starts for Samuel Onyekachukwu, Bailey-Joseph and Daniel Oyetunde.
Ife Ibrahim captained the side, while there was another trialist named on the bench in Norwich left-back Jaiden Owen.

The Leicester side included recently-departed Arsenal midfielder Bless Akolbire and he had the first opportunity of the game as he shot over.
Arsenal took the lead in the 12th minute as winger Ceadach O’Neill found the net.
Early in the second half Daniel Oyetunde made it 2-0 after being set up by Bailey-Joseph.
Bailey-Joseph then scored himself to make it 3-0.
Alex Marciniak came on for Oyetunde but Leicester got a goal back with Will Daniels scoring.
Marciniak set up Bailey-Joseph to restore Arsenal’s three-goal advantage.
Trialist Gorman then replaced Dan Casey for the closing stages.
There was a late scare for Arsenal as Lorenz Hutchinson netted for Leicester and then set up Daniels, who got the Foxes’ third goal of the game.
However, Arsenal managed to hold on and take all three points.
