The New York Knicks have been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season and they look as though they are going to be title contenders once the playoffs begin.
New York currently sits third in the East standings with a 42-23 record, and that is likely where they will end up once the playoffs begin as they may have a hard time tracking down the Boston Celtics for the second seed.
Of course, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns have led the way for the Knicks this season and the rest of their core, including Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby, have also played a key role in their success this season.
Despite this, the Knicks may not go as far in the playoffs as they had hoped this season due to the fact that they are winless against the top two teams in the East this season in Boston and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Due to this, the Knicks may look to retool their roster in the offseason and add another superstar player, who could be Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns if he becomes available.
According to Bovada, the Knicks have the second-best odds (+900) to land Booker from the Suns via trade in the offseason. The Detroit Pistons are currently the favorite (+900) to land him.
The Detroit Pistons are the favorites to land Devin Booker if he isn't with the Phoenix Suns next season, per @BovadaOfficial

Booker would be a great fit next to Brunson in the backcourt and they would form one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA.
Of course, the Knicks would likely have to include either Anunoby or Bridges due to salary reasons to land Booker from Phoenix, and they would also have to include other players and draft capital for the Suns to agree to the deal.
While breaking up their core could prove costly for the Knicks next season, adding Booker to a lineup of Brunson, Hart, Towns and either Anunoby or Bridges could make the Knicks a title favorite next season.
