Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Cody White is heading back to the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal. This will be White’s third season with Seattle, an organization he joined in 2023.
White had the best game of his career this past season against the Los Angeles Rams. When DK Metcalf went down with an injury, the Seahawks immediately turned to White to step up.
White made two catches for 44 yards, including a toe-tapping 28-yard catch on third-and-long to keep the game-tying drive going in regulation. That catch came directly after White blocked a Rams punt, too.
White spent three years with the Steelers, too. He spent some time on special teams as a gunner, but most of his time on the practice squad helping the scout team churn.
That was until 2023 when White suffered a hamstring injury that ended his three-year tenure with the Steelers. However, because of his special teams experience, he found quick work with the Seahawks. Now, he is going back in hopes of securing his role with the team.
