Tottenham eye cut-price move for Dusan Vlahovic after big development

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a move to sign Dusan Vlahovic, with the North London club now believing that they can sign the player for a cut-price fee after the latest contract developments.

Even though Tottenham acquired the services of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich in January, speculation over recent weeks have suggested that Spurs are also eyeing other big-name forwards this summer.

A fresh report has now claimed that the Lilywhites have set their sights on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahocic, who has been on the North London club’s radar for a long time.

This report comes from GiveMeSport, who claim that Spurs may go after the Serbian even if they decide to activate the £45m option to buy Tel permanently from Bayern Munich.

Tottenham eyeing cut-price deal for Dusan Vlahovic

The report says that with Vlahovic entering the final year of his deal in Turin this summer and refusing to extend his deal, Juve have decided to cash in on him at the end of the season.

This has alerted the interest of Spurs, who are big fans of the 25-year-old and are now sensing an opportunity to sign the centre-forward on a discount.

The outlet claims that Ange Postecoglou is keen to make Tottenham a more threatening attacking force next season, with Vlahovic seen as someone who can add firepower to their frontline.

It is revealed that the Serie A giants are hoping to £35m for the striker, but Spurs believe he could be secured for a fee as low as £25m.

Spurs have been long-term admirers of Vlahovic

GiveMeSport go on to add that Tottenham’s interest in Vlahovic is not new and goes back at least three years. In fact, it is asserted that Spurs tried to sign the striker from Fiorentina and were beaten to his signature by Juve back in 2022.

Since then, the Premier League club have continued keeping an eye on the centre-forward and they have allegedly not been put off by the fact that he has struggled for game time at the Allianz Stadium this season.
