The Cleveland Browns entered the 2025 NFL offseason with a large number of free agents. With a few big names and former starters like Nick Chubb, Jameis Winston, Jed Wills and Elijah Moore on that list, many expected a lot of moves either to retain those players or with them moving on.
Instead, only a few free agents, including DT Dalvin Tomlinson who was released by the team, have found new homes, leaving the number still pretty high.
As of now, technically, the Browns still have 23 free agents left as NFL free agency enters its second week on Monday. Rodney McLeod is on the list despite already saying he would retire as the paperwork has not been filed yet. Very few of the free agents have taken visits or even been rumored to be on the radar to return to Cleveland or find a new home.
D’Anthony Bell has taken a visit with the Seattle Seahawks and Juan Thornhill has done the same with the San Francisco 49ers. Otherwise, the new and rumors are quite quiet on the guys on this list (arranged by highest to lowest salary last season):
OL Jedrick Wills
S Juan Thornhill
QB Jameis Winston
OL Nick Harris
RB Nick Chubb
WR Elijah Moore
TE Jordan Akins
DT Maurice Hurst
RB Nyheim Hines
S Rodney McLeod
OL Michael Dunn
TE Geoff Swaim
OL Germain Ifedi
CB Tony Brown
OL Geron Christian
WR/PR/KR James Proche III
RB D’Ontae Foreman
OL Hakeem Adeniji
LB Khaleke Hudson
RB John Kelly
DT Michael Dwumfour
DE James Houston
S D’Anthony Bell
Besides Chubb, which of the above free agents are you hoping the Browns bring back this offseason? Are you surprised by the lack of rumors around some of the guys on the list?
