Mohammed Kudus has failed to perform once again for West Ham against Everton.

Paul Merson predicted a 2-0 win for Everton, with David Moyes backed to beat his former side in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Saturday (15 March).

However, the game remains goalless after chances for both sides in the opening 45 minutes. Everton thought they had a chance to take the lead from the spot just before the break, but the penalty was overturned after a VAR review.

Potter made an error as one West Ham defender missed out at Goodison, although this doesn’t seem to have made too much of an impact on proceedings.

However, if the Hammers are going to take all three points back to London, they will need to show much more going forward in the second half.

And with that in mind, Kudus should be hooked at the break after his pedestrian like performance so far.

Kudus disappoints in first-half at Goodison Park

Kudus was one of West Ham’s better players in their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle at the London Stadium on Monday (10 March).

However, he has offered next to nothing against Everton.

The Ghanaian is one of the Hammers’ most exciting players, and fans have high expectations of the 24-year-old. However, he has been incredibly poor this season, and his performance against the Toffees so far has been yet another underwhelming one.

As per Sofascore, Kudus has succeeded with just one of his three attempted dribbles and managed just 19 touches of the ball overall.

In addition, he is yet to have a shot at goal, while he has won just two of his seven ground duels.

Potter needs to avoid defeat against Everton

Potter hasn’t made the start to life at West Ham he perhaps would have liked.

If West Ham lose at Goodison, it will be four defeats from six in the Premier League for the East London side. Therefore, it is important they get a result on Merseyside.
