Holiday wasn’t looking hurt at all on Friday night, scoring 25 points, four rebounds, and three assists against the Miami Heat.
That was a good game for Holiday, but he has also recently had several single-digit outings and has sat out of a few games too.
Hopefully, he can conquer this finger injury before the postseason begins because the Celtics will definitely have a presence in the playoffs.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and other Eastern Conference foes have made it clear that the Celtics will have to fight hard in the playoffs, which means all players will have to be in their best possible shape.
What happens if Holiday’s injury gets worse or prevents him from being 100 percent?
The Celtics have the tall order of winning back-to-back championships and all teams will attempt to get in their way.
Last season, Holiday was a crucial part of the Celtics’ run through the regular season and playoffs.
His numbers have dipped a little bit but it hasn’t hurt the team that much and they remain the second-best in the East.
Holiday is being honest about his injury and what he is doing to combat it.
Now, Celtics fans are just hoping that it doesn’t get worse and Holiday can remain on the court for the next few months.
