This NBA season has been filled with fun games, tough breaks, and high drama.
There have been so many exciting storylines that it’s been hard to keep up.
But according to Sam Vecenie, the Detroit Pistons’ major bounceback is the most interesting story in the league this year.
He said they are fun to watch, have figured out what they need, and will reach the playoffs just one year after making history with an atrocious record.
NBA fans haven’t seen a turnaround like this in a very long time.

Detroit is currently the sixth seed in the East and hold a 37-30 record.
As a reminder, they ended last year with a 14-68 record, the worst in the league and one of the worst in all of NBA history.
Last summer, the team’s front office did some serious work to right the wrongs and get the team back on track.
As noted by Vecenie, they put together a roster that works well around their lead star, Cade Cunningham.
For years, fans lamented that Cunningham was one of the best young players in the league on one of the worst teams.
This year, he is averaging 25.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists, and the rest of the squad is stepping up and attempting to help him shine even more.
A lot can happen between now and the playoffs but there is every reason to believe the Pistons are going into the postseason.
Even if they don’t go far in the playoffs, they will prove to fans that they have turned a corner and started a new chapter and everyone should be paying attention.
