A fresh update has now shed light on whether Tottenham Hotspur are planning on making an offer for Adam Wharton in the summer as the competition for the Crystal Palace man’s signature intensifies.
Most Spurs fans will agree that central midfield is one area the club look in need of major surgery in the summer, with some of the senior midfielders flattering to deceive this year.
It has been reported over recent weeks that Tottenham have identified Adam Wharton as the man to solve their issues in the middle of the park.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation since his switch from Blackburn Rovers to Palace back in January of 2024, and it turns out that his performances have piqued the interest of a number of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.

Tottenham’s interest in Adam Wharton cools
TEAMtalk have now revealed that Tottenham did indeed hold an interest in Wharton, but they say that the North London club are ‘not a realistic option’ for the midfielder this summer.
The Lilywhites are not thought to be actively pursuing a deal for the England international at this stage.
Instead, Manchester United and Newcastle United are the two Premier League clubs who have shown more concrete interest in Wharton.

The Red Devils want to rebuild their midfield in the summer and see the Palace man as an ideal option while the Magpies allegedly view the youngster as a potential replacement for Bruno Guimaraes if the Brazilian departs St James’ Park.

TEAMtalk also explain that Bayern Munich are extremely keen on Wharton, with the Bundesliga club thought to have shown the most interest in the player until now.
Vincent Kompany is said to be a big admirer of the Eagles youngster, with the Bavarian club closely monitoring the midfielder ahead of the summer window.
Additionally, Juventus are also in the market for a number six, with Wharton being one of the options on their wishlist at the moment.
