Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca has insisted that any talk of Manchester United has been ‘forbidden’ for the time being.
[Lyon Foot](https://www.lyonfoot.com/article/8420/paulo-fonseca-avant-ol-le-havre-c-est-interdit-de-parler-de-manchester-pour-le-moment) cover comments from the Lyon manager today made in his press conference, when journalists were naturally keen to ask about Manchester United.
The French side are set to take on Ruben Amorim’s side at the beginning of next month after both sides secured their progression to the quarterfinals of the Europa League this week.
Lyon were comfortable winners over Fotbal Club FCSB, sometimes referred to as FC Steaua București, with a 4-0 win at home in the second leg securing a 7-1 aggregate victory for Fonseca and his men.
Manchester United, meanwhile, were 4-1 winners over Real Sociedad at Old Trafford, securing a 5-2 victory on aggregate after the 1-1 draw in the first leg.
The clash will see Lyon host Manchester United in the first leg on 10th April before heading to Manchester for the second leg a week later.
Lyon defender Moussa Niakhaté has already warned the Premier League side that they’re not going to be playing the tourists in that second leg, but Fonseca wants any such talk shut down.
“It’s forbidden to talk about Manchester at the moment,” Paulo Fonseca declared at his press conference on Saturday.
“We’re only talking about Le Havre. We still have a lot of important matches before the European Cup. We still have time to prepare and think about Manchester.”
